Outer Banks Brewtag (Nags Head) October 25. A celebration of flight and beer, OBX Brewtag is modeled after the whimsical and entertaining Red Bull Flugtag, translated to “flying day” in German. With OBX Brewtag, the general premise is the same, although rather than human-powered flying machines, Brewtag contestants will be competing to see who can launch and fly an empty 1/6 keg barrel the farthest.  All October Long - Whalehead Club Centennial Events Every Wednesday in October (Corolla) In 2025, Whalehead in Historic Corolla celebrates a century of elegance, history, and community. Built in the 1920s as an opulent Art Nouveau retreat for Edward and Marie Knight, Whalehead has stood as a testament to vision and craftsmanship on the shores of Currituck Sound and The Northern Outer Banks. To honor its 100th anniversary, a special series of ticketed events will take place every Wednesday throughout October 2025, inviting guests to step back in time and experience Whalehead’s charm. The celebrations include intimate behind-the-scenes tours, refined high tea with croquet on the lawn, and enchanting pianist performances echoing through the historic halls.
