Lighthouse 5K - June 3 and June 10. Lace up your running shoes and see the sights. Add the fun of a run and fitness to your vacation joining us for a Summer morning 5k run/walk through the Historic Village of Corolla Light. Enjoy the sights of the Northern Outer Banks. The Whalehead Club, Corolla Light​ and the magnificent Currituck Beach Lighthouse are all along the course. Registration never closes, every participant receives a shirt and medal! Stroller and Service Animal Friendly!
First Fridays in Manteo - June 5. First Friday is a fun-filled, family-oriented event held the first Friday of each month, March through November from 6pm to 8pm, in historic downtown Manteo. The sidewalks pulse with live music, magic, artisans, food, drinks and much more. The Manteo Stroll featuring celebrations, specials, music all over town, art, and more inside other Manteo galleries, shops and restaurants also happens during First Friday.
Opening Night of The Lost Colony- June 6. Toast the beginning of the 2026 season for one of the country’s most acclaimed outdoor dramas, The Lost Colony, with this special opening performance at the famed Waterside Theater in the heart of Downtown Manteo. The Lost Colony is the longest-running outdoor drama in America, and is an acclaimed production that tells the story of the first colonists to arrive from England to the “New World,” eventually creating a settlement just steps away from where the performance takes place.
Sea Glass & Coastal Art Show - June 16-17. Join us at the Whalehead Club in historic Corolla on June 16th and 17th for the Corolla Sea Glass & Coastal Art Show! Discover the world of sea glass and coastal art, immersing yourself in the rich history and unique artistry of these coastal treasures. Don't miss this opportunity to shop, explore, and appreciate the beauty of the coast through art. We can't wait to see you there!
Under the Oaks Arts Festival - June 23-24. Under the Oaks Arts Festival is a fine art show which offers a colorful array of vibrant artworks on the grounds of the postcard-perfect setting of the Whalehead in Historic Corolla. This popular festival brings together a collection of talented artists and visitors can expect to find paintings and prints, photography, pottery, jewelry, woodworks, and much more. Free for all attendees, local food concessions are available as well as a silent auction that is open to the public. This is a great opportunity to pick up some local treasures that are truly one-of-a-kind.
Independence Once Mile Beer Run - June 28. Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Party. Join the Brewing Station crew for an American Independence themed beer mile. Backyard party and T-shirt included. This is an adult 21 and over only social run.Prizes to the fastest male and female overall.Wear your American spirit finest, costume contest judging for most creative.
