Frank Stick Memorial Art Show (Dare Arts, Nags Head) February 7-28. The 48th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show will open at Dare Arts on Friday, February 6, 2026 . This annual show is held in memory of Outer Banks preservationist and artist Frank Stick, who was instrumental in having miles of the Cape Hatteras Seashore designated as the first National Seashore. The Frank Stick Memorial Art Show is the longest running visual arts exhibit in Dare County. The exhibit goes on display every winter at Dare Arts.
Hatteras Island Oyster Roast (Oden’s Dock, Hatteras Village) February 7. Join the North Carolina Coastal Federation for a laid-back oyster roast at Oden’s Dock in Hatteras Village on Saturday, February 7, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. An oyster roast for the coast! The event will feature fresh oysters, clam chowder, corn bread, and other refreshments. Be sure to save room for homemade desserts from the bake sale. You can also enjoy live music and a silent auction with many unique, regional items.
Annual Galentine’s Brunch (NC Coast, Duck) February 8. Grab your gals and join us for the at NC Coast in Duck for the ultimate ladies' day out! This Galentine’s Brunch is all about celebrating love, friendship, and, of course, festive brunch boards. Pair it with a glass of bubbly and soak in the vibes of joy and laughter. Dinner in the Dark (NC Coast, Duck) February 12. The most attended NC Coast event! Dare to dine… in total darkness. Blindfolds on. Senses heightened. Every bite a mystery. Every sip a surprise. Chef Wes Stepp’s Dinner in the Dark returns just in time for the most seductive season of all, and it’s the ultimate Valentine’s adventure! Features five indulgent courses + pairing cocktails. Love on the Run 5K and Sweetheart Mile (Sanctuary Vineyards, Jarvisburg) February 14. Start your day with your Sweetheart, or maybe find one on the course, then start your scenic trail run/walk through Sanctuary Vineyard, under the trees, by the sound and back to the winery for the post-race wine, cheese and chocolate tasting party including Sanctuary souvenir swag. Non-wine specialists (and younger ages) are welcome! We have several non-alcoholic beverage options for you
Kitty Hawk Trail 5K (Kitty Hawk Woods) February 16. The out-and-back 5K course will wind through the Kitty Hawk Woods maritime forest, offering participants a trail-running experience in a natural setting. It features a gravel start transitioning to a fairly level trail with roots and soft running surfaces, and will be a great introduction to trail running with a low key, family friendly vibe. Participation is free for anyone age 18 and under, while a donation from adult participants is suggested at $10. This event is organized by the First Flight Track Club and all proceeds support local student runners. Only 100 running spots are available for this event.
Trivia Night (Outer Banks Brew Station, Kill Devil Hills) Every Thursday through May. Hey, trivia lovers! Trivia Night is back at the Brewing Station! Join us every Thursday at 9:30 PM right after Tapas Night for a fun evening of fun questions and friendly competition. Bring your crew, show off what you know, and compete for some cool prizes.
